Pre- Braided Braids?
Hello All My Darling Divas!
Welcome back to the blog! Today we are going to discuss my latest crochet braids installment! Yes these are crochet braids, and YES I changed my hair AGAIN! (lol) I am forever changing my hair up, and when I saw these braids my last black and blue style had to go! If you want info on that hairstyle though feel free to click here for the deets! But today its all about the purple! My latest crochet braids are actually crochet Senegalese pre-braided twist! What will the hair gods think of next! I discovered crochet pre- twisted and pre-braided styles a couple of months ago, but I'm just now getting around to trying them out. And let me tell you ladies I am H O O K E D! You get the same style, look, and feel of braids with the process time pretty much cut in half! Braids like this usually mean sitting on your butt for a good 5+ hours, but I only sat in a chair for 2hrs and boom, braids done! Braids in under 5 hours? I will take that any day! Of course when it came to color choice I had to grab something bold and funky, and this deep purple was just perfect for me! I haven't actually had purple hair yet, so this was my way of trying out a color that I haven't yet. I will definitely be revisiting purple hair again.
The brand of hair that I used was Janet and this is hair is in the style Noir Tantalizing Twist Braid in the color purple. This is what the pack looks like for reference if you would like to use this exact brand and color.
This is how the hair looks inside, and outside the pack! The hair is about medium length which is fine for me, but if you want longer braids I would suggest finding another brand. I brought 10 packs of hair to be safe but only ended up using 5. My hair was purchased at Hair World located in Bear, Delaware. You can also find this hair online by clicking here and here. Always be sure to check your local beauty supply store. You never know what you will find!
Caring for this hairstyle is simple. It's pretty much how I care for my hair when I have braids installed, but since this is a crochet style, I don't need as maintenance or product. Pictured are the three main products that I’ve been using in my hair so far. I use the Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey to moisturize my scalp, the Cantu Edge control to slick down my edges and, the Lusters Pink Sheen Spray to add a bit of shine and moisture to my braids. If it wasn't for curlbox I wouldn't have been introduced to two of the three products pictured below, so shout out to them!
So ladies I hope you have enjoyed today's blogpost! I have a feeling that these pre- braided crochet braids are going to be an obsession of mine for a while, so don't be surprised if you see another batch sometime later! If you give this look a try, or have already, share your pics in the comment section below or tag me in your pics on social media! They are all linked above, and I would love to be connected with you! My addiction to crochet braids is REAL, and they just keep coming out with more hair for me to try! And I will not stop until I try them all! (lol) This blog post concludes the post for this week ladies! I will see you all next week with two new blog post's! so until then love ya lots like tator tots, and have a fabulous weekend!
